For over thirty years, Kim Duell has expertly guided her clients through the divorce and parenting conflict resolution process, both in and out of court, with a unique and powerful blend of expertise, empathy, humor and wisdom.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, and Western New England School of Law, Kim has long been involved in alternative dispute resolution. She volunteers as a Special Master in multiple courts, and at the Families in Transition Program at the Children's Law Center.
Kim has an active Family Law practice, with extensive experience as Mediator, Collaborative Lawyer, Guardian Ad Litem, and Litigator .
She is a member of The Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association, Hartford’s first Collaborative Practice Group (www.collabrative-divorce.com) and Collaborative Divorce Professionals (www.CollaborativeDivorceProfessionals-CT.com) an East of the River collaborative practice group.
In addition to these alternative practices, she has extensive experience in the state’s courts, litigating contested family matters. She is a member multiple local, state,and international practice groups, and has presented at Connecticut Bar Association, and local bar associations through lectures and workshops, on a variety of topics related to Family Law.
